Frequently asked questions

What is a preorder?

We make corsets in small quantities, so there is no warehouse full of corsets. When we order from the factory we put a "preorder" online so people can reserve one of the corsets that's being produced. We run out of sizes quickly.

When do preorders ship?

The date that preorders ship is on the product page. If you can't find it, email me.

What is the return policy?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.

Why do you need to buy the rights to corsets?

We are committed to supporting museums that steward cultural heritage. They need the money and I want to give it to them.

You can just look at corsets online for free.

Yes. And when corsetieres "knock off" items in museum collections, the museums do not benefit in any way. These institutions preserve and restore corsets only for people to make dupes for likes and views that earn chump change on tiktok.

Why are you obsessed with the southwest?

My family is from there. There is a video on my youtube about it.

I want to get into victorian reenacting? What do i do?

Go on Facebook and search "victorian" in groups. There is probably a victorian reenacting group near you. If you are in denver, you can go to the victorian society of colorado. They are very nice.

You should come to the museum by me. They have corsets

Ok. email me the name.

I want to go to museums, too

Do it. Email your museum and tell them you want to look at their historical corsets, and ask who to talk to about this. Not all museums will say "yes"

Were Victorian women small?

No. A lot of corsets in museums belonged to teenage girls. I know this because I look up genealogical records about them. They are like 14 years old and have 18 inch waists.

Why do you touch the corsets in the museum with your hands?

I do whatever the museum tells me to do. Sometimes, touching things with gloves is worse for old textiles. You cannot tell if you are causing damage when you are wearing thick gloves.

How do you copy the corsets?

I take lots of photos and measurements and send them to Amber Welch. She has made like 400 corsets and knows how to make them fit real well. Check out her social media pages, her company name is Lovely Rat Corsetry.

Do corsets crush your bones?

No.

I saw a youtube video about how corsets crush your bones.

Mine do not crush your bones.

Did Victorian women have their bones crushed by corsets?

No.

Can men wear your corsets?

Gender isn't real. Anyone can wear these corsets.
